Meet Virginia Basnight: Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner and Injectable Expert

Virginia Basnight is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing and advanced practice experience, including over four years focused specifically in aesthetic medicine. Her clinical background spans critical care, emergency medicine, ICU nursing, primary care, and family practice. This broad foundation brings both medical precision and a strong commitment to patient safety to every treatment she provides.

Virginia earned her Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Florida College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University. She is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, certified in Botox and dermal filler through Aestra Institute, and holds a Critical Care Registered Nurse certification through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

At Zi Med Spa, Virginia performs a comprehensive range of injectable and aesthetic treatments, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify, dermal fillers, Radiesse, Sculptra, Restylane, Versa, BBL laser treatments, Ultherapy, and laser hair removal. Her areas of expertise include neurotoxin treatments, facial balancing, wrinkle reduction, volume restoration, and natural-looking aesthetic enhancement.

Virginia’s treatment philosophy is rooted in enhancing each patient’s natural features while keeping results balanced, refreshed, and never overdone. Patients consistently compliment her on her gentle technique, attention to detail, and ability to create personalized, natural-looking results. During consultations, she takes a thoughtful, education-first approach. She reviews each patient’s goals, facial structure, and treatment history before crafting a customized plan.

Virginia serves patients throughout Carrollwood, North Tampa, Tampa Bay, Citrus Park, Lutz, Odessa, Palm Harbor, St. Petersburg, and the surrounding areas.

Outside the spa, Virginia is a dedicated mom to two young children. She is a passionate pickleball competitor, a soccer fan, and always on the lookout for a great oyster bar.
