Custom Facials
Our Tampa medical spa makes your skin health a priority
When you want to look and feel your best, facials can make a big difference. At Zi MedSpa, we offer a relaxing experience for improving the health and appearance of your skin. Our licensed and trained aestheticians use professional-grade skincare products and will design a custom facial that addresses your concerns and leaves you feeling rejuvenated.
How the process works
The specific steps of a facial can vary depending on the type of facial you are receiving, but common steps typically include:
- Cleansing: The aesthetician will use a gentle cleanser to remove any traces of makeup, dirt, or debris from your skin. The cleanser will then be gently removed with a sponge or cloth and warm water.
- Exfoliation: Depending on your skin type and concerns, the aesthetician may use a physical or chemical exfoliant to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. This helps to improve your skin’s texture, tone, and appearance.
- Extraction: This step involves removing impurities from your skin. If you have any blackheads, whiteheads, or other blemishes, the aesthetician may perform gentle extractions to remove them.
- Massage: The aesthetician may then perform a facial massage using gentle, upward strokes. This can help promote relaxation of the facial muscles.
- Mask or treatment: The aesthetician may apply a mask or other treatment to your face. These facial masks contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other ingredients that can provide nourishment and hydration to the skin.
- Moisturizing: After the mask is removed, the aesthetician will apply a moisturizer to hydrate the skin and leave it looking healthy and rejuvenated.
Custom facials FAQ
How often should I get a facial?
Getting a facial every four to six weeks can help you maintain healthy, glowing skin. One of our aestheticians can make recommendations after determining your skin type and discussing your concerns.
How will I know which type of facial is right for me?
Different types of facials are used for different purposes – for example, deep cleansing, hydrating, or anti-aging. During a consultation, one of our skilled aestheticians will evaluate your skin, talk about your goals, and recommend the best treatment plan for you.
How long will I need to keep a facial mask on?
Most are designed to be left on for 10 to 15 minutes, but some may need to be worn longer. Your aesthetician will give you instructions. While you’re waiting, you can relax in our Zen Den or on our back deck that looks out onto a private lake.
Are facials safe?
Yes. Some facial treatments may cause slight discomfort, and you may experience slight redness or sensitivity immediately after the treatment. But any discomfort should subside within hours. Your aesthetician will tell you what to expect.
The benefits of facials
Why should you consider one of our custom facials? Here are some of the benefits:
- Increased circulation: The massage techniques used during a facial can help to increase blood flow to the skin. This improves circulation and promotes a healthy, radiant complexion.
- Deep cleansing: During a facial, dirt, oil, and dead skin cells that can clog pores and contribute to breakouts will be removed. This promotes healthier skin.
- Hydration: The moisturizing ingredients used during a facial help to hydrate and nourish the skin, leaving it soft and supple.
- Anti-aging: Getting regular facials can help improve the texture and tone of your skin. That reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other imperfections.
- Relaxation: Facials can be a relaxing and stress-reducing experience, helping to promote overall well-being and a sense of calm.
